Since the mid-1990's Seawood Solutions and Services and RS&G Commissioning Ltd (RS&GC) have provided comprehensive mechanical and electrical commissioning services to the Engineering and Construction field. In 2008 the two companies joined forces under the name Seawood and currently have offices in Toronto and Ottawa. Seawood is an affiliate of MMM Group - one of the largest Canadian Engineering companies.

The firm operates as a separate company and provides commissioning services for the healthcare, commercial, hospitality, educational and mission-critical facilities sectors. Our range of commissioning and engineering expertise is diverse and continually expanding as it keeps pace with rapid advances in facility start-ups and operations.

Because of our expertise in building operations, our firm is also able to provide related services including our highly successful Building Information Management solution, SeawoodFM.  This solution assists building owners and operators in understanding their buildings better throughout the entire building lifecycle.  Seawood is also able to offer additional services such as the implementation of preventative maintenance programs, preparation of Standard Building Systems Operating Manuals, expert third party consultations, preparation of maintenance service contract bid documents, and the provision of pre-purchase technical audits and reserve fund studies.

Commissioning has helped to ensure that the sustainable contained in building rating systems, such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®), perform as intended. Seawood provides LEED® commissioning services that meet all the requirements of ASHRAE Guideline-0 and the LEED® Green Building Rating System.
